When We Were...

Across the world, students, universities, and companies are making a choice to divest from the fossil fuel industry.  This short documentary sheds light on a segment of the supply chain that has no choices, the people who've called land home for thousands of years, land usurped by multinational corporations, backed by you and I.

Many of us take offense to the fossil fuel industry for intangible reasons, gigatons of carbon, billions in wealth and political clout, millions of barrels and an unknown time on the detonator. This documentary shows the human scale of this dirty industry.  As we in America continue to fight the eminent domains seized by TransCanada Corp. for the Keystone XL project, this story should be even more cause for alarm.  Not even the nations who harbor these corporations are insulated from their exploits.  Take it from the Hela, "This is not a win-win."
